6 Hour Round Trip For Setup Pays Tribute To A Great Tech

Today we received this lovely testimonial, which epitomizes why I wanted to set up this simple links site - To raise awareness of the wonderful fabric of guitar skills that keep our guitarists happy!
A really great tech is something you want to hold on to and its not always finding one in your local area so travelling is something you should consider to find a good one.
This recommendations came from "Stuart" and reads as follows...
" I’ve known Ben since I was 12 years old & we both starting playing the guitar around the same time, in our early teens. When myself & Ben were 16 or so, Ben built me a guitar in exchange for a Hohner Pro guitar I had at the time (he still has that guitar). A few years back we got back in touch over a charity event that Ben was organising for the hospice that looked after his Mum. I donated a few guitars & they were auctioned off after Ben had fixed them up & restored them, including paintwork. On the back of this Ben has modified most of my guitars including several Vintage models that I have shared with the Vintage Facebook page. He has also built me a guitar to my spec & utilised his skills, as a talented artist, to carry out a custom paint job. That guitar & several of mine feature on his social media & website.
I really can’t recommend his work highly enough & I drive from York to St Albans to drop off & collect my guitars requiring a service as I trust absolutely no one to service, repair & mod my guitars. If his work was poor then I’d definitely go somewhere else. "
For peace of mind - We had a look at Askem Guitarworks ourselves...
This is what we found.
